Trey's Crazy Party

Well, we had very good intentions when it came to Trey's cowboy party.  Carl took off half of the day on Friday to help me get stuff set up in the yard and get some things picked up around here.  Saturday morning we woke up to clouds and rain :(  I was not very happy, but I was hopeful that by party time the rain would be gone.  Didn't happen!!  We ended up having to move EVERYTHING to the Community Center....at the last minute!!  There were hardly any decorations, and we weren't able to do all the cute games that I had planned for.  It just made me sick!!  Trey had a good time, though.  I didn't get many pictures either.  I'm hoping that my mom got some of him blowing his candles out.  My grandmother made his birthday cake ( a cowboy boot) and it was pretty good, not to be professional.  Carl and I gave Trey his present from us after we got back home from the party, because it was and outside present.  He loved it!!  He also chose to go out and eat at El Canaveral last night....he loves that place, and he even ate all of his hamburger and helped Carl eat his fajita meat.  He's a growing boy!!
Here are the few pictures I got:

Eating his hot dog with his stick horse

Eli, Carlie, Noah (drinking heavy!), and Makena

Throwing cow-patties (moon pies) into the bucket

Maxee on her stick-horse, butterscotch

Noah with his stick horse and a cow patty!

Fastest Cowboy In the West (stick horse race)!
I think Trey won :)

PRESENTS!!

He was very excited about the tent from Pop and Nanny

Opening his remote control car from Luke

Lightning McQueen flashlight to go with his tent

He had his whole head in the bag digging for
that present!

Cutest Cowboy EVER!!

His new digger!

Noah came to play too, although he didn't get too
much action on the digger...good luck to whoever
tries to get that away from T anytime soon!

Makena and Trey

Lovin' him some Mexican Food....wonder where he got that?!

My two boys

Oh, before I forget I wanted to say a special thank-you to my mother-in-law for helping out in the middle of the chaos at the party!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
