Trey sitting with Scaredy

It's sad, I know...that's the only picture I have to post today!  Not a lot has been going on around here lately, so we'll just look to the future:  Carl will done cutting beans today (woo hoo!!), I have to work tomorrow (yuck!!), and Wednesday we are going to the pumpkin patch in Grady!  The kids are really looking forward to that :)
Here are a few updates:
Today, Trey spent most of the day at Grammy's house.  She called this morning after he was done with his school work and asked if he could come play with her and Maxee, so off he went!  I didn't see him again until around 2:30 or 3:00!  They went to the woods on the Gator with Papa, ate lunch, played, and took a bath!
Carlie went back to school today.  She missed last Thursday and Friday due to a nasty sore throat.  No fever, but she felt really bad...headache, earache.  I hope she didn't fall too far behind.  She missed a couple of tests, but I think she got caught up on that today.

Makena has been doing great!  She's doing well in school, and she hasn't seemed to be nearly as sick this school year (so far) as she was last year at this time....I'm thinking that the tonsillectomy was well worth it :)
We are currently working on an animal science book that has to be turned in at the beginning of December!  I know, it seems so far away, but we have stuff that has to be turned in and checked by the teacher, weekly.

So much still in store for this month:  Pumpkin Patch, Fall Festival at church, Halloween...more pictures to come :)  Happy Monday, friends!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking up with  Shay  and  Sheaffer  for a What's Up Wednesday.   It has been a while since I have done this particular link-up.   What We're Eating This Week... This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken.  We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal.
