Happy Easter Sunday!

Along with her tickets to the concert, Carlie got a new case for her phone in her Easter bag...no baskets this year.  The Easter Bunny was too tired to mess with all of that!

Trey got some sidewalk chalk and the move "The Nut Job"
in his bag.  He absolutely loved the movie.  It was cute.
The picture I got of Makena was really blurry, but she got a new necklace and earring set to wear with her Easter dress, sidewalk chalk (my kids love it), and a swimsuit cover up.

I do love him so much!

This picture was so forced, it's not even funny!

On our way home from church.  Everybody was ready to go eat at Grammy and Papa's house.

Trey was looking for eggs at Grammy's.
Someone always puts money in the eggs there and that is the only reason he wanted to hunt with a bunch of girls!

Trey and Maxee were racing to find that money egg!

Hadlee Michelle finding all of the eggs she could.
I think she dropped over half of them on the ground every time she ran to get another one!

He hated that Maxee got the $5 egg and he only got $3!
Money is money, T!

In all of the busyness of this weekend, I know that my kids know the true meaning of Easter.  It's not having a day off (Good Friday) from school, it's not about the bunny and candy, and no, it's not even about money eggs. It's about our Savior being crucified on the cross and not staying there in the tomb, but raising from the dead so that we may have everlasting life with him in Heaven one day.  Our God is not dead, He IS Risen!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
