More Fall Fun!

Things have suddenly gotten super busy around here. Carl has been working late with soybean harvest, basketball practice is in full swing, piano lessons, 9 week exams, church activities....it's been a LOT!
Last Friday night we finally decided to carve our pumpkins after Carl got in from work.

Carl always helps them get started!

Always knew that electric knife would come in handy!

Ta Da!

The weather was nice and cool, but due to the burn ban, we weren't able to have a bonfire. We did cheat and have a small fire in the pit of Carl's smoker :)
Have I ever told you that Carlie is our group - activity leader? Well, she attempts to plan out our vacation every year; where we go, when we go,etc. Well, she had an idea to do fall pictures. She picked out her clothes and Trey's. Makena decided that if she had to take pictures (which she hates), she was at least going to wear what she picked! Here are some of the pictures we took last Saturday:

I absolutely love this one!

Sweet sisters

I think the word, "Bye Felicia" may have been spoken as they were walking away!!

Another one of my faves
We all had fun with our mini photo shoot.
Carl got off at lunch on Saturday because they had a breakdown on the combine so he was able to get in on that fun! We went out and got his box stand moved and ready to hunt in. It was a pretty fun day.
The days are getting shorter and the weather is finally starting to cool off. If we could just get some rain, we would be in good shape (Lord, please send us some rain)!

Makena had her first basketball game on Tuesday night. The Lady Mustangs got their first win on their season opener! Very proud of my #55! Trey hasn't had game yet, and as far as I know they don't have any scheduled yet. He is ready, though! Carlie has decided to take the year off. I hope she doesn't regret it, but I didn't want to have to make her do it all season, either.
So, that is all the Fall Fun we have been having around here lately!
Much Love
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking up with  Shay  and  Sheaffer  for a What's Up Wednesday.   It has been a while since I have done this particular link-up.   What We're Eating This Week... This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken.  We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal.
