Back to Basics

After the chaotic couple of months that we've had, I am more than ready to get back to the basics, so I took off for the rest of the school year! It sounds nuts, but it's only 4 and a half days :) To be honest I just need the time to myself. Time to pray and meditate. Today was the first day "alone" ( for a whole 5 hours...I had to make a quick Walmart run!). I think over all it was a pretty successful day. I tried to get my thoughts in order and get a little housework done also.
After I pick the kids up we are getting snowcones and going to the pool! I am giddy at the thought of summer break being so close.
Here's to an awesome week!

Nothing says basics like hanging your clothes on the line.  I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but for some reason this is sort of therapeutic for me!

And then there is our garden.  It is thriving and maybe we'll have some fresh veggies soon!

These flower always make me happy.

I love this girl so much!  She is super sweet and pretty!

Three Doses of Happiness

Laundry piled up, dishes in the sink, phone buzzing with many emails, toys all over the house.......sounds like an absolute perfect time to go outside and relax with my kiddos! Today has been a VERY warm day.  It probably would be more enjoyable if we didn't know that it would more than likely storm tonight!  Carlie didn't go to school today because she was up a lot last night with stomach issues.  She never vomited, but she was very nauseated and has had stomach cramps.  She hasn't felt bad all day, just off and one.  We might be going to the doctor tomorrow p.m. because Sunday night I noticed that she has a little bulge above her belly button, I wasn't concerned about it (really) until her stomach started hurting and she said that it hurt to tough.  Maybe it's nothing, but people keep mentioning hernia to me.  Please pray that she feels better soon.  Also tomorrow is the big day....academic advising.  I remember the very first time I was advised (somewhere a
