A few weeks ago Carl was being super sweet for no reason at all and bought me a pretty cross to match the new stuff in our room and he washed my car :) Makena bought me some yummy chocolates too! I felt special!!

Makena has really been getting into this Family Consumer Sciences class!
Her labs are baking/cooking/nutrition related. On this day she made the most delicious chocolate chip cookies ever...from scratch😆

Trey spent quite some time working on his planet project.
He chose to do the moon. He has been putting that telescope we got him for Christmas to good use.

My parents got my nephew, Noah tickets to go see Golden State play the Grizzlies in Memphis for his birthday. Carl, Trey, Pop, and Noah went. They had a good time. Memphis is always entertaining!

Makena is out it again! She made homemade hot chocolate and homemade whipped cream. Of course it was delicioso!

Look at what books I have loaded on my tablet! I would have never thought I would be homeschooling or looking into homesteading!!

We turned Carlie's grades in about a month ago and they just now posted her grades. I understand that Christmas break put them behind, BUT I don't want them getting me behind!
Anyway, check out those A's!! She is one smart girl. She's pretty sweet too (most of the time)!
We are chugging along, doing our best to make the most out of each day!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
