Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there! A mother's love is one of the first loves we know. She nurtured us; provided for us. She was there when we took our first steps and said our first words. I am blessed to have a mother who not only knew the importance of taking care of my physical needs, but also my spiritual needs. She took me to church as a small child and made sure that I knew that even though she loved me more than I could ever know, there was someone who loved more...Jesus. It was (and still is) important to her. She tried her best to make sure I had the opportunity to know Jesus on a personal level and accept His salvation. That is the greatest thing she has ever done for me.
It is because of her love for me that I know Christ as my Savior and that I have followed in her footsteps and made sure that my kids had that same opportunity.
I am not saying that she is perfect...she is human. I am certainly not saying that I am perfect. I fail daily.  She is however, one of the most unselfish, caring people I know.
It's funny the things people say that just stick with you. Way back when I was a freshman in high school a former teacher of mine told me to be good to my mom because she would be my best friend one day. Of course I was like, yeah right. There is no way she will be my best friend! I can honestly say that she is my best friend. We talk several times a day EVERY day. She prays for me and I pray for her.
I am so very thankful that God chose me to be her daughter!

My Mom and Grammy

She has always been the best!

Me and my three babies!
I love them so much.

I had an awesome Mother's Day. We went to church, ate lunch at Grammy's, and hung out at the pool after church tonight. Oh, and I caught a quick Sunday afternoon nap. It was delightful!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
