A Day at the River

Me and my girls enjoying some quality river time.

Makena helped out a lot with maneuvering the boat while Carl was getting the tube ready.

Mr. Studly

The three best kids.. ever!

Check this out...it is truly a summer miracle, Carlie and Trey rode the tube and didn't kill each other!!

And one more!

Makena got to be the lookout

El Cap-i-tan and Carlie

We had a fun afternoon at the river even if we did get a late start and it rained a few times. We stuck it out and made it work because we knew this would be the last time for a while, at least, that we would be going out on the boat all at one time. With camp next week, then Makena's surgery, and Carlie starting school on July first, this was going to be it for a good while.
We are hopeful that Makena's surgery goes well and we are able to make a quick trip to the beach from a Thursday thru Sunday in August (so Carlie can go with us). It may not be ideal, and heck, it may not even happen but that is our tentative goal.
Lots of prayers for our family would be appreciated!

Much Love,
Beth

Three Doses of Happiness

Laundry piled up, dishes in the sink, phone buzzing with many emails, toys all over the house.......sounds like an absolute perfect time to go outside and relax with my kiddos! Today has been a VERY warm day.  It probably would be more enjoyable if we didn't know that it would more than likely storm tonight!  Carlie didn't go to school today because she was up a lot last night with stomach issues.  She never vomited, but she was very nauseated and has had stomach cramps.  She hasn't felt bad all day, just off and one.  We might be going to the doctor tomorrow p.m. because Sunday night I noticed that she has a little bulge above her belly button, I wasn't concerned about it (really) until her stomach started hurting and she said that it hurt to tough.  Maybe it's nothing, but people keep mentioning hernia to me.  Please pray that she feels better soon.  Also tomorrow is the big day....academic advising.  I remember the very first time I was advised (somewhere a
