That's How We Roll

Trey (in the gray t shirt) got back to bowling on Saturday.

This was the first time he has bowled since last March.
It was a little rough to say the least.

I think out of two games, his best was a 164... H
He will get there.  We are still planning on going to the state tournament in the spring. Let's just hope that he gets his scores back up where they need to be.
School started on the 4th for us.  We are about a week behind where I would like us to be.  It was just hard for Trey to do school with everyone home...especially Carl.  He tends to be a major distraction!
It has been fairly easy to get back in the swing of things. We will finally get our semester test finished this week.  I probably could have crammed a review in and got the exams done last week, but we had about 4 days worth of new material to learn in a couple of subjects. It is what it is.
Sunday was super cold and dreary but it was a great day. We had great services at church, an amazing Mexican lunch at my parents, and ended our day with a visit to Grammy and Papa's.
My sister's kiddos were down again over the weekend, and we were so busy that we didn't see them until Sunday but had a great time visiting with them over lunch. Next weekend we get to celebrate my nieces 11th birthday.  She is the baby of the family, so it's hard to believe she is turning 11 already!

On a completely different note, our chickens are finally laying regularly! Molting season is over, but I think the heat lamp helped a ton.
Hennifer has a major attitude.

I love filling my egg apron.

Things are a little messy in the good old USA right now.  There is so much that could be said but I will refrain right now.  Pray for our great nation.

I know that this post was a everywhere.  I just feel the need to do a little more memory-keeping blogging right now.  A little more everyday "stuff" that I want to remember for years to come.
This is us.  This is how we roll.

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking up with  Shay  and  Sheaffer  for a What's Up Wednesday.   It has been a while since I have done this particular link-up.   What We're Eating This Week... This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken.  We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal.
