Cowboys and Such

Happy March friends!  Can you believe that?!  This year is already speeding by.
I should have blogged this on Sunday night, but I am a procrastinator and I had to run into town with Carl and Trey, so here is my weekend recap on Tuesday😉 Done is better than perfect, right?!

On our way to the rodeo!

Saturday night was rodeo night!  We left our house early enough for us to go eat when we got to Little Rock.  When we were walking in the restaurant, we noticed this group of people at a table staring at us, more particularly, Trey.  As you can see, he was all out cowboy (which isn't unusual for him).  We commented on them staring but continued on to our table.  As we sat there, different people from the table would come up and walk past us to go to the restroom (staring the whole time).  Finally, an older lady in the group stopped by and said that he looked like someone famous (I don't know who she said) and wanted to take his picture😂  We are still laughing about that.

My #1 cowboy 💓

Me and my baby.
It was nice to be able to spend some time with him.

I got zero pictures of the actual bull riding.  It was too intense, and I didn't want to have to watch it through my phone!  I would say it was time and money well spent.  By the time Saturday rolled around we were definitely needing a distraction from the heaviness of the world.
You don't have to feel guilt and post a flag or share your opinion about things we see through a fuzzy lens.  You can pray in secret to your Father in heaven who can do infinitely more than a hashtag can.
Love on your family.  Pray for what worries you.  And trust God is handling it all.  He is not surprised.  He is not sleeping.
Omnipotent.
Omniscient.
Omnipresent.
Alpha. Omega.

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
