It's Christmas, Man!

I'm not sure if anyone will actually get the reference from my title, but it is from Alvin and the Chipmunks (the first one and Simon says it). That was always one of Trey's favorite movies, and I'm pretty sure I have seen it enough times to have the whole thing memorized!

Carlie asked me to go to Wrenley's Christmas party at school because it fell on a Thursday and they had lots of surgeries that day.  I didn't mind because I got to see her interact with other children.

Party food is her love language :)

She was having a great time.
But didn't let me out of her sight, and yes, I did take her home after the party :)

And of course, she wanted to ride the Ranger with Pappy

Christmas was a little different this year for a couple of different reasons.  One being that Christmas Eve was on a Sunday and the second one being that my sister's kids had to be at their dad's early on Christmas Eve.  That was fine, it just had our typical days all changed around.
Our group picture at mom and dad's.
I didn't take many pictures that night because I was trying to enjoy every minute of it.

Carlie, Wrenley, and BeBe
Wrenley was starting to feel better at this point, but poor Carlie and Caleb were getting sick.

Foosball!

He got his fish finder for his new Bass Tracker :)

Makena got a pedicure stool.
It really is cool!

Carlie got a new lunch bag

Trey and Caleb opening their gifts.

Me and Carl opening our gifts.

Makena and Jamie looking at their cool gifts.

The moment she spotted the Jeep she got a little shy...but not for long!

Ready to ride!

"So long, suckers!"

She loved her dolly with a paci and her stroller.

I didn't get any pictures of my sister's kids opening their gifts, but they got everything they asked for as well.  My parents (really my mom) go a little overboard sometimes! It was such a fun time to get together with everyone.  I love my family and I'm thankful for them all!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
