October 2024

To catch up more quickly, I will post months in reviews for October and November. Not ideal, but necessary at this point!

Wrenley has her BeBe's whole heart.
She is sassy and knows that she can eat ice cream in BeBe's living room anytime she wants to!

We celebrated Elijah's 16th birthday at Larry's pizza!
I can't believe he is 16 already. He's such a sweet kid.

Then came the Northern Lights.
They were absolutely stunning!

Wrenley enjoyed the Homecoming Parade! She's proud to be a Ricebird :)

Being silly in church!

First chili of the season!
I love this Dutch oven more and more every time I use it.

I will never stop taking these pictures!
"Windmill at dusk", lol

He's such a spoiled dog!
Maggie wins Miss Photogenic hands down!

We had a pumpkin carving party in mid-October at my parents' house.
 Wrenley really got into it!

Elijah and Makena carving.

Carlie, Trey, Maggie, and Noah

Makena with her masterpiece

Trey and Maggie Mae with their pumpkin

Mom and Dad with their crew

The love bond that we have is unbreakable.

Carl and I did a Taco 'Bout Jesus themed car this year at Trunk or Treat. It was rainy and nasty and we were just glad we made it through the night. Wrenley was a beautiful little ballerina.

Such a happy girl :)

That pretty much wraps up our October. It went by pretty fast. Carl and the guys finished with harvest just before Halloween so that worked out perfect!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for the first Friday Favorites of 2025! Over the past three weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend more time with Wrenley. She is growing up so much. She is speaking in full sentences and is a clown to boot! We've enjoyed lots of naps in BeBe's bed, playing with baby dolls (one of her favorite things), and since I have to pick her up before 7 a.m. on the days she stays with me, we enjoy getting her favorites: donuts (nonuts) and hotcakes from McDonald's -not at the same time though! Snug as a bug in a rug! She loves her Ky Ky Another favorite is a clean kitchen! We have had our house in a bit of chaos like I'm sure everyone else has with all the holiday festivities (and with Carl being off). I am glad to have everything in its proper place! That ray of sunshine is therapy for my soul! The next thing on my favorites list is Carl's chili. We had it last night and will probably have leftovers for a few day...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
