Happy Easter Monday! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend. We are still celebrating our Risen Savior over here! I have been slightly under the weather, but did my best to try and get all of the Easter fun in!
On Saturday, Carl was off because it rained all day. We went to Carlie's to dye eggs with Wrenley. She was interested in it for about 5 seconds.
Wrenley had Pappy dying eggs too!
She made sure he had orange because it is his favorite color :)
She and I went to play Barbies in her room while Carlie finished her eggs.
We had to get a Happy Meal before we left to come back home.
And Aunt Kena came to eat with us too!
On Resurrection Sunday we all headed to church. I woke up feeling pretty rotten but knew I had to teach my class. We must have had a change in barometric pressure because it was a pretty gnarly migraine.
Our normal car selfie.
Caleb was at the fire station today, so he is missing in our obligatory family picture.
I came home after Sunday School and brought Wrenley with me. She was really good and played in the floor with her Barbies until everyone else got home. I really didn't feel like going to lunch at my parent's but again, I pushed through. As soon as lunch was over I went and laid down until the egg hunt was over.
She is too cool for us!

My Uncle and Aunt went and picked her up for church and lunch with her family.
We love her and we are thankful that she is still with us.
I went home and went to bed when Carlie and Wrenley left, and I skipped out on Sunday evening services. I slept most of the afternoon and feel mostly better as of 9 p.m. last night.
As Easter weekend comes to a close, the lilies will eventually fade, the baskets will be put away, and the busy celebrations will quiet down. But the truth of Easter was never meant to stay within a single weekend. The empty tomb still speaks today, reminding us that hope is not fragile, grace is not temporary, and new life is always possible through Christ. So, as we step back into the ordinary days ahead, may we carry the wonder of Easter with us--living with grateful hearts, steady faith, and the quiet confidence that the same power that rolled the stone away is still at work in our lives.
Before we move on from Easter weekend, let's hold onto this truth:
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his abundant mercy he hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." 1Peter 1:3
Because of the resurrection, our hope isn't wishful thinking--it's living, breathing, and secure. Easter reminds us that no matter what the days ahead hold, our hope is anchored the risen Christ.
Much Love,
Beth
