Hey good friends! Hope you've had a great weekend. We didn't get a whole lot accomplished here. That has been a big problem lately. I have been very unmotivated lately. Just kind of in a funk. I do post a little more frequently on Instagram, but even that has slowed down. Anyway, we had a pretty good weekend. On Friday evening Carl and I went to the farm. We were just checking out the rice they just planted and talking about that if it didn't rain soon, they would have to flush the rice so it would grow. I'm not extremely familiar with this process because it isn't something that happens all that often. In the thirty years Carl has worked on the farm, he has only done it 3 times. We just really need some rain! We took the Ranger around to the reservoir to see how it looked. I am ready to go fishing!
It looks perfect!
A little dirt road therapy
Saturday was the laziest day we have had since winter. Carl was off. It was cloudy and dark-ish. The perfect day for just lounging around the house. Trey stayed at his house and Makena was at work. So it was just BeBe and Pappy chilling out. It ended up clearing off in the afternoon, and look at this beautiful prairie sunset:
And then on Sunday, one of the most wonderful things happened: Trey surrendered his life to the ministry. We have known that he was been convicted about it for some time. I am super proud and thankful that he answered the call. God is still in the business of saving people and calling men to the ministry. We know that it won't always be easy. We also know that where God guides, he provides. So, his plans now include attending the seminary.
Here are a few pictures from earlier in the week while I was on my break:
Our theme for VBS this year is Junkyard Redemption.
Carl dressed up for our Wednesday night kids (as a preview) as Sarge the cat.
Wrenley thought is was hilarious.
I went and picked Wrenley up from school on Thursday.
She is always just waking up from her nap when I get her.
Sweet little sleepy girl :)
"Honey Bunny" got out of the pen at Trey's.
Wrenley loved watching her hop around.
It was a fun weekend. God has blessed our family beyond measure. May we always be a testament to his faithfulness.
Much Love,
Beth
