Update

Trey was being a monkey while he was waiting to go outside and play

Carlie in sponge-rollers!

My little diva, Makena

Nothing "blog-worthy" has gone on around here in the past week. We didn't get any snow:( I say that like I'm really upset, but really we all know that I'd rather be somewhere tropical. The kids were really disappointed when they got up on Thursday morning and there was nothing. Carlie told me she wasn't going to school-but she did.
Jamie still hasn't had Ellie Kate, and the funny thing is, she's acting just like Carlie did about going to school!! She is mad (at most everybody) because she's still pregnant! I told her today that it would probably be soon (I should have known better) and I thought she was going to hang up on me!! REALLY though, it will be next Friday, January 22, if she doesn't come before then:) I can't wait to hold her in my arms. There's nothing like holding a newborn baby. Every once in a while I wish I hadn't had my tubal, but if I didn't I'd probably have as many kids as the Duggars, which is fine for them, but I don't think I could handle it.
As I'm blogging this, Trey is singing at the top of his lungs and dancing a circle around Makena. I'm not even sure what that's all about. Carlie is in the kitchen getting out everything she wants for dinner--plates and all. She's a little group activity leader. One day I think she'll run her own company because whatever she does she has to be the boss. I might go to bed without any hair by the time the night is over with:)
Next week is the big week--our school only goes 3 days and Makena will miss two of them. She is still asking a lot of questions about the surgery: will it hurt after I get out?; will you be there when I get out (I'm hoping they get me down to recovery ASAP)?; will I have to share a room with anybody?: you get the picture. Lots of questions, but probably the one I get most often is "Am I going to get lots of presents?"!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
