Our Busy Weekend

Carlie was trying to get Ellie Kate to smile for me.
She had just woke up when we got there.

Makena loved playing with EK, too!

Noah was blowing out his birthday candle.
It's so hard to believe it's been 4 years since he was born.

Elijah loved his cupcake...even if it did make him look
like he ate a smurf :)

We got Noah some roller blades and he did
really good on them.  Carlie and Makena
brought their roller blades too, so he really
got into it, for a little while!

This was the deer stand :)  I just love little
boys imaginations!

The country boy goes to the city!!
Noah loved his new guitar Grammy and Papa got him.
He sang "Jesus Loves Me" for us.  So cute!!

Makena had fun playing Frisbee with Pop.

We have been one busy family over the weekend!  Friday night we went to Wynne to eat for Carl's sister, Wendy's 40Th birthday.  I didn't take my camera in, but I should have.  It was so great to get to see everyone even though Trey was awful because Uncle John was there.  When those two get together you never know what's going to happen!  The girls had fun too, especially at Nana's house with Leslie's old American Girl dolls!   We finally made it home around 9:30 and got the kids bathed and in bed by 10:30.  It was a really long day and we were all pooped, but it was worth it seeing the surprised look on Wendy's face.

This morning we woke up bright and early and left to go to Morrilton for my nephew, Noah's 4Th birthday.  His birthday is actually on the 25Th, but we are going to be in Memphis, so we celebrated today.  It was a super nice day, so we let the kids have fun playing together outside.  They love getting together and just playing.  On our way back home we had to stopped at Lowe's to exchange the chandelier I had bought for the girls room, then we went to Little Rock to get Happy a collar at Petco.  We also went in Crossroads Western Wear to look for some new Wranglers for T and Carl some boots.   As we were walking out we met Ty Murray walking in!!  The PBR is LR tonight and I guess maybe he was in town for that.   After a quick dinner at Shorty Small's we finally made our way back to Arkansas County.
It feels so good to be home!

Beth, Thanks so much for coming yesterday. Noah loved ya'll being here. He put on his skates again and went out when Cody was outside this afternoon. That was a great idea for a gift, but like I said all you would have had to do was let Trey come up and he would have been happy forever! We love ya'll so much... p.s. the picture of NOah playing the guitar...do you see the little "meanness" in his face? He tries to play innocent with everyone else, but I KNOW the truth ;)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
