Oh Happy Day!

Trey and Happy

Carlie waiting with her purse...I wonder where she's
going?

Trey, Happy, and Carlie

This is what I found when I went into the bathroom.  He
said he found them in his toy box!  See, even Trey is
ready to go swimming :)

The only picture I have of Makena and this wasn't even taken
today!

Well, today was our 5Th snow day.  Sad, I know.  We made the best of it by getting the heck out of our house before we drove each other crazy!!  We headed down to DeWitt to get the flooring that Carl is putting down (tomorrow...yeah!) in the girls room, then we went to Stuttgart to get a few things at Wal-Mart and so I could tan ( I know, not the best thing I could do for myself...my mother has already told me that!).  Wal-Mart was actually worse today that it was before the snow on Tuesday!!  We picked up a pizza and then came home and played Monopoly (Carlie's favorite game).  I have to admit that I was really happy to see 9:00 roll around.  Some days the kids bed time just can't come soon enough.  I love them to pieces, but they REALLY need to get back to school soon :)
I am really looking forward to the renovations going on in our house, but I'm also dreading it because it will be a mess until it's finished....Lord, please give me patience.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
