Happy Birthday, Carlie!!

On Thursday we celebrated Carlie's birthday with her friends at school with a surprise party at Larry's Pizza.  My friend Jill and I had been planning this for a couple of weeks because it was her little girl, Skyler's birthday on the 10th and Carlie's is on the 12th.  Anyway, they have been in the same class together since Kindergarten and with Jill and I being friends, they really haven't had a choice!  So here are a few pictures that I took at the party.  I feel like the most horrible mother because I forgot my camera and had to take the pictures with my phone, but to my defense, I was getting really sick that day :(
The cakes.  Jill made Skyler's cake herself!  Skyler loves
Razorbacks and lime green and lime green just so happens to be
Carlie's favorite color too, so we did our best to make it all go
together, and I'm very please with how it turned out!

The table before the kiddos got there.

Sidney, Madeline, Hannah, and Abigail.
We had 12 girls plus Skyler's little sister, Halle.  And of course
poor Trey.

Presents!

On Saturday, her actual birthday, we had a little family party at my parents house with Grammy & Papa, Bro. Jeff, Mrs. Cheryl, and Luke, The Simpson's, and of course, Nanny & Pop.  We had some yummy deer steak, chicken on the grill, and steaks on the grill.  It was a fun time, and really it almost felt like a Thanksgiving dinner.

Happy Birthday to Nanny and Carlie!!
She'll always be Nanny's girl :)

I think they were singing "and many more"
or as Trey says, "and any more"!

Just Dance 3!!
We have had the best time playing this, and just let me say
that I will never again wonder where Carlie gets her lack of rhythm from--
I watched Carl dance last night and literally rolled in the floor!! It was hilarious :)

The boys thought she needed help.

Happy Birthday, Carlie!! We love you so much and are very proud of the young lady you have become!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
