Today I am thankful our school and for Bro. Bormann. Six years ago when Carlie was getting ready to start school I had every intention of homeschooling her. We had made a school room and then about 4 weeks before school was set to start I got cold feet. I just didn't know how in the world I could do it with a 4 year old and a 12 month old. I know now, that people do it all the time and all it takes is a little organization, but then I didn't know nearly as much about it.
Anyway, we knew that we didn't want to send her to public school, but weren't sure what we were going to do. I called Bro. Bormann who is the principal at our school and we met with him and knew immediately that we should send her there. In the beginning we weren't really sure how the financial end of it would work, but God ultimately provided a way. They have worked with us and allowed me to help out and have become like family.
Now, that's not to say that they (the teachers, staff or kids) are perfect. Of course there are issues that arise here and there, but just like with anything else they get worked out. I am truly thankful that my kids have a place to go to school where having a relationship with Christ is encouraged, where it's standard to start the day saying the pledges to the American and Christian flags as well as the Bible, where it's okay to say the blessing before lunch and where having daily devotions and Bible Class is part of the curriculum. I can't imagine them going anywhere else :)
