Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween friends!  We have been ready for Halloween over here since the beginning of October so I feel like a kid on Christmas morning getting ready for tonight's festivities.  The weather threatened to bring storms and rain so a lot of towns in our surrounding area did their trick or treating on Tuesday.  I'm glad we left it on the 31st because Halloween isn't on the 30th...duh!  We did move our Trunk or Treat indoors but you know what?  It didn't even rain one drop until we got back home around 7:30.
We spent an hour or two picking things up down at the Fellowship Hall, setting up, and decorating our "area".  I had mad plans to do a monster themed trunk, but since we moved inside and the girls already had their own tables, I decided to just help them.  I have been fighting some kind of headache/neck problems since last week so I was ok with just helping and taking pictures.

The weekend before Halloween we took Jack Henry to the Howl-O-Ween event at our local Sutherland's. We found out today that he won 3rd place in the costume contest!

Mummy dogs for lunch at Munger Academy today.

We went to Little Rock on Monday to shop with my mom and somehow ended up at the Halloween store. Trey found the big baby mask and had to try it even though it made me cringe. Can you imagine who else had their face in that thing...so gross.

I know this post was all over the place.  I didn't sit down and plan it out and get my pictures in order like I should have, but done is better than undone, right?!
We have had a great Halloween season. Carl has been off quite a bit due to the rain we have been getting so we have been able to do fall family things and while I am thankful for the time we've been able to spend with him, Thanksgiving and duck season are coming so we seriously need to wrap up bean harvest.

That's about all that has been going on around here. We are still here, chugging along.

Happy Halloween!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking up with  Shay  and  Sheaffer  for a What's Up Wednesday.   It has been a while since I have done this particular link-up.   What We're Eating This Week... This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken.  We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal.
