Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!  Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for another Friday Favorites.

It has been a couple of extremely hot weeks here in southeast Arkansas.  I've stayed inside unless we are swimming, in the boat at the river, or it's after 7 pm.  And that leads me to my first favorite: POOL DAYS!
Taking a dip in the nice cool pool and reading a good book!

Makena is my little bookworm!

We've also spent quite a bit of time at the river.  The evenings after Carl and Trey get off work are our favorites, but afternoons when Carlie and Caleb can come out are fun too!
Carl let Trey take the jet boat for a spin.  I was nervous until he came back to the sandbar, but he handled it well.  He has driven many times (with Carl in the boat), so he was pretty confident.

Fun river days will always be a summer favorite!

Mr. Cool

Carl and Caleb were just chilling.
I'm not sure if you can see all of the snacks, but those belong to the pregnant lady :)

River Selfie!

It's no big secret that I love a good energy drink.  Don't waste your time telling me how bad they are for me! Monster Energy (the green cans) are usually my go-to, but I decided to try something different this week.
I just may have a new favorite energy drink!

I have tried several of the Alani flavors and have never been impressed with them.  This is the Alani Rocket Pop flavor, and it was actually really good (and it is sugar free!).

This is my favorite *brand new* baby cousin!

Makena Faith holding baby Peyton.
I loved getting in on all of the sweetest baby snuggles.

I can't forget my favorite four-legged friend.
The heat has been pretty hard on him too!

Riding the Ranger with our best boy

He loves riding to the farm.
He would have been out in the rice field with Carl but he was (mostly) clean.

This is probably one of my favorite times of day lately

Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for the first Friday Favorites of 2025! Over the past three weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend more time with Wrenley. She is growing up so much. She is speaking in full sentences and is a clown to boot! We've enjoyed lots of naps in BeBe's bed, playing with baby dolls (one of her favorite things), and since I have to pick her up before 7 a.m. on the days she stays with me, we enjoy getting her favorites: donuts (nonuts) and hotcakes from McDonald's -not at the same time though! Snug as a bug in a rug! She loves her Ky Ky Another favorite is a clean kitchen! We have had our house in a bit of chaos like I'm sure everyone else has with all the holiday festivities (and with Carl being off). I am glad to have everything in its proper place! That ray of sunshine is therapy for my soul! The next thing on my favorites list is Carl's chili. We had it last night and will probably have leftovers for a few day...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
