Will You Be My Valentine?

His shirt says it all! We didn't get too creative with making boxes this year. Store bought it was!  Carlie picked out Scooby, Makena picked Tinker Bell and Trey, of course, picked out the dog and cat box :) The three little monkeys working on their valentines Diet Mtn. Dew always helps get anything started :) Carlie was working hard to color her hearts. Yesterday was an unintitional craft day!  What I mean is that Carl was busy working on the floor and I had to find something to do to get them out of his way, because you know construction is so facinating for little kids.  Well, maybe our crafting was long enough but Carl and Dad did manage to get the flooring of the day finished.  We still have another day of carpeting as well as a full day of painting before it's completely finished.  There will not be any pictures until then :) The kids were very excited to get all their Valentine cards done for both school and Sunday School.  Trey made one for the ...

Oh Happy Day!

Trey and Happy Carlie waiting with her purse...I wonder where she's going? Trey, Happy, and Carlie This is what I found when I went into the bathroom.  He said he found them in his toy box!  See, even Trey is ready to go swimming :) The only picture I have of Makena and this wasn't even taken today! Well, today was our 5Th snow day.  Sad, I know.  We made the best of it by getting the heck out of our house before we drove each other crazy!!  We headed down to DeWitt to get the flooring that Carl is putting down (tomorrow...yeah!) in the girls room, then we went to Stuttgart to get a few things at Wal-Mart and so I could tan ( I know, not the best thing I could do for myself...my mother has already told me that!).  Wal-Mart was actually worse today that it was before the snow on Tuesday!!  We picked up a pizza and then came home and played Monopoly (Carlie's favorite game).  I have to admit that I w...

Snow Day #4

Carlie and Happy sledding at the house Now it's Trey's turn! Makena Faith was last Then we headed to Nanny and Pop's house and started at on the little hill Then we moved to the big one! For some reason Trey loved the little sled It made him get snow all in his face. Here comes Carlie! They were fighting over who was riding next! Pop watched, but didn't take part in our snow fun. Nanny did, though!! Today we let the kids go out and play in the snow.  They were ready to go out at 8:00 this morning when it was 17 degrees, but we insisted they wait until it at least reached 30!  By the time we made it back in, they were freezing with little rosy red faces.  After lunch we went over to my mom and dad's house since they have a hill (not all that many in our area) and had a good time.  I even gave in and let Carl pull me behind the 4-wheeler (notice you don't see any pics of that!) and then he trusted me to pull him.  That might have been a mistake on his par...

Our Winter Wonderland....Scenery Pictures

Our Little White Church The White River Mom and Dad's pool from the road Wow, since I posted last we have gotten 7 inches of snow!!  That has got to be some kind of record for us.  We were going crazy sitting in this house, so we managed to get out and drive around our community to see all the snow.  Thank goodness for four wheel drive!  We still have power, so that is a major plus.  Looking forward to spending the night watching Secretariat with my family.

Snow Day Take 3!

Yes that's right it is our third snow day....in SE Arkansas... and it looks like we will not be going anywhere tomorrow either!  I braved Wal-Mart yesterday at 11:00 and it was awful.  They only had two lanes that were not open (a record for Stuttgart Wal-Mart, I'm sure!) and I still stood in line for 20 minutes!  Hopefully I got everything we needed and just maybe we won't loose our power :)  I'm kind of sad that we won't have Discovery tonight at church because the kids all enjoy it so much and I love my class, The Warriors.  I have the best group, I'm sure of it :)   I have three that are about ready to move out of their red books, and I know they want to get the show on the road--maybe next week!! Not long after it started, and it's already piling up! View from the back yard. Trey has been playing this all morning....I may have to hide it soon! There will be more snow-play pictures to come after it finally stops, right now it's like a blizzard...

Makena's Baptism

Ready to be dunked :) She was so ready for this! All wet and all smiles! Our pastor presenting her with a Bible from the church Nana and Papaw T.R. got to come visit with us a while before and stayed for the baptism.  Makena is very blessed to have two sets of grandparents that rejoice with us in the fact that she was saved and baptized.  Wow, this has been one crazy weekend to say the least.  The girls had no school on Friday...it was a snow day....with NO SNOW!!  I have never known the Stuttgart School District to close school in anticipation of snow...it was just NUTS!!  Carl was also off work on Friday, so we did a little shopping around town.  Saturday we went to Little Rock for some shopping and just a day out of the house.  My Grammy fixed Carl dinner for his birthday so we had to be back home by 5:00.  About 4:30 I got a call from our pastors wife telling me that I needed to start our church's prayer chain because I young girl who pre...

We Love Us Some Basketball!!

Coach Jennifer with some of the girls before the game. Mustang Sally with Trey and Halle Beth Carlie with her best friend Heather...they've been together since 3 year old preschool. Skyler, Heather, Madeline, Makena, and Trey had to stick his little head in there.  Silly boy!! Giving the boys a pep-talk The coaches Basketball season is in full swing, and even though my girls are just playing pee-wee ball for our school, they are having a blast!!  Tonight we got to play right before the varsity boys and girls.  It's so much fun to watch them out there, and to see their improvement from game to game.  They should have a really good pee-wee team next year.  Some days Makena says she doesn't want to play next year, and some days it's all she talks about...who knows!!   Carl has been helping Bro. Inzer with the pee-wee boy team and has really enjoyed it.  They played their first game tonight and lost, but only by 5 points.  Carl was really s...
