Snow Day #4

Carlie and Happy sledding at the house

Now it's Trey's turn!

Makena Faith was last

Then we headed to Nanny and Pop's house
and started at on the little hill

Then we moved to the big one!
For some reason Trey loved the little sled
It made him get snow all in his face.

Here comes Carlie!

They were fighting over who was riding next!

Pop watched, but didn't take part in
our snow fun.

Nanny did, though!!

Today we let the kids go out and play in the snow.  They were ready to go out at 8:00 this morning when it was 17 degrees, but we insisted they wait until it at least reached 30!  By the time we made it back in, they were freezing with little rosy red faces.  After lunch we went over to my mom and dad's house since they have a hill (not all that many in our area) and had a good time.  I even gave in and let Carl pull me behind the 4-wheeler (notice you don't see any pics of that!) and then he trusted me to pull him.  That might have been a mistake on his part because he fell off twice :)  He said it was my driving, I said that it was his weight!!  He was a good sport about it anyway :)
We are still waiting to see if we have a fifth snow day tomorrow.  I sure hope not!

Looks like y'all had a wonderful snow day!! =) We've got to invest in a sled before the next snow! I'm hoping it will be next year before we need a sled though!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
