Happy Halloween 2011

My witch, Cowboy, and Country Diva at Nanny and Pop's house

My scary neighbor, Anthony.  He's 17 and was riding his bike around
trick or treating!!  I prayed all night that he wouldn't get ran over!

At Grammy and Papa's

Carlie with her wax vampire teeth!  A classic :)
With our sweet neighbor, Lauren.

Happy Halloween!!  This was probably the most unorganized Halloween that we've ever had!  We didn't have costumes until Saturday night, so you can imagine how picked over everything was.  We kind of did a little bit of this and that, but they were happy so that was all that mattered.  Carlie was supposed to be a country diva (singer), but didn't like carrying her guitar and microphone around with her.  Makena was a witch but we didn't do any face paint, and Trey was a cowboy....again.  He was a cowboy when he was three.  They got way too much candy, so we'll be playing Bible Bingo tomorrow night in Discovery!!  I've got to find some way to get rid of it!  We got in around 8:15 and actually got them in bed by 9.  Halloween was a success and harvest is finally over!!  They got finished today just in time for Carl to come in and go trick or treating with us!  Hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
