Spring Break Days 1 & 2

Well this is Spring Break 2013!  Yeah, everybody is pretty much better (still battling a few coughs and snotty noses) and ready to have a little fun.  Too bad we don't have any major plans :(

Monday was pretty much a gross day.  Thunderstorms and rain on and off all day long, however, my sweet Mother decided to take the kids to see a movie!
This was the movie of choice: Oz The Great and Powerful in 3D!!
They said it was awesome.  Even Trey liked it.  Get ready if you're going to see it though, it is a VERY long movie.  Like over two hours long.

Today was a little chilly but still pretty, so Trey wanted to have a picnic on Fort Munger

Sillyness!
The girls didn't want to participate in our picnic, so they stayed in (BORING!!)
and ate the lunch of their choice :)
Makena's happened to be Ravioli (YUCK).
Carlie had Chinese!
Notice the phone is not too far away.
This afternoon Makena had an orthodontist appointment to get her braces! You have to look very close because they are clear but she is very excited about getting them.  So now I've had (got) two kids in braces and by the looks of things there will be one more to go!  Oh, it must be nice to have kids with straight teeth!!
And last but not least we got this today. It is our "project" (as if we needed another one of those around here).  I'm not hopeful that it will be done by the summer.....maybe next summer, but we'll see. It really just needs new seats and some interior spruce-ups.  Trey and Carl are really excited about it :)

It's Been A Great Spring Break So Far!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking up with  Shay  and  Sheaffer  for a What's Up Wednesday.   It has been a while since I have done this particular link-up.   What We're Eating This Week... This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken.  We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal.
