Field Day 2013

Today was Field Day at our school.  It was supposed to be outside (in the field), but then it rained last night!  Oh, well we just had to change games and they ended up a little lame, but the kids would still rather play lame games than be stuck in the classroom all day :) Really, it should have just been called Game Day!
Erin, Katelyn, and Carlie were all part of the red team!
I love these three sweet girls.

Makena with some of her orange teammates playing musical chairs.

Trey was ready to do the three legged race with his buddy Andersen!
The didn't win, but were laughing and smiling the whole race :)

T was trying to be so careful during the egg race!

More musical chairs.  Carlie stayed in there for a fairly long time.

Tug-of-War!  This was the only other game (besides musical chairs) that Makena played.  She LOVED it!  Here her orange team is up against Carlie's red team.  The orange won!

It was a fun Friday.  Speaking of Friday's, this is the last full Friday I will work this school year!!  In some ways it seemed like I just started my countdown :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch his wings.  He has a re-directed path now and I pray e

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't say we went swi

Back To School Photo Shoot: The Girls
