Whatever Wednesday

Hey guys! It's already Wednesday....what?! We have been keeping ourselves busy here on the homestead.

Please excuse the redneck look Trey has going on here, but on Sunday we got to see our friend Luke. If you go back in the archives of our blog you will see that Luke was a very big part of our lives. His dad is our former pastor and Luke was pretty much like a cousin to my kids. He is right between Makena and Trey in age. We were so happy to be able to spend some time with him and his mom❤

Carl and Carlie worked on Labor Day and Makena was back at college, so Trey and I did school then headed to the pool.

He's so silly.
He wanted me to do a slow motion video of him slinging his hair. I'm sure it was used for a TikTok...but not before I posted it to my Insta Stories.

Toby wanted to cool off too!

Our friend Bonnie went into labor on Labor Day!
I can't wait to get my hands him❤

Trey has been practicing for bow season.

Little Craig is always watching out for his ladies.

I wasn't sure what exactly to title this post. A little brain fog, I guess. I don't love harvest because I don't love Carl working 6 days a week. Believe me, I do know that there are some working 7, but I'm not sure that would work for us. With him coming in late, and the girls being gone half of the time, Trey and I are holding down the fort. School is great; it's hard to believe that it has already been 4 weeks. The one class I was most worried about was Algebra but he is doing well. I do a little more of the teaching in both Algebra and English. He is still a *work smarter not harder* type of guy, but we are getting it done ✔

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
