Weekend Rewind

Good Monday morning! Man, it was super hard to motivate myself to get up this morning.  We had such a good weekend here on the homestead.

On Friday evening my mom decided she wanted to have a weiner roast with all of the grandkids. This was the first time we had all been together in almost 4 weeks.

This picture makes me so happy!
All of my babies together ❤

Carl got in from work just as we were heading back home. Makena and Trey wanted to go out and take some pictures for a TikTok challenge, so we made that part of our Friday night backroad fun.

We woke up to cooler weather on Saturday. It was also a beautiful day. Carlie was home most of the day, but Carl was working. At this point I just take what I can get and hope that we at least get Sunday together ❤

I made hamburger vegetable soup on Saturday and it was delicious!

When Carl got in from work we had a bonfire.
We ended the night riding ATV's and doing more pictures for MM's video.

I really don't get this..

Ready to ride!

Sundays are church days...and sending Makena back to school. She went back with Mama's soup, Pop's chili, and Nanny's banana pudding❤
It was another beautiful day and I feel truly blessed to have been able to spend it with my family in the house of the Lord.

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...

This week, we pulled out one of our very favorites: Ritz Cracker Chicken.  We all love this, but it is Trey's very favorite meal.
