DITL: Monday

Welcome to my DITL post-- otherwise known as "watch me attempt to be productive." I didn't wake up glowing, I didn't float into the kitchen, and my hair didn't cooperate.

But I did find these super cute moisturizing eye patches

Please ignore my dirty mirror.
Another "Wren was here" moment. She loves brushing her teeth!

And I made myself a yummy weight loss drink.

And then I got started my Bible Study/Memory work.
I really enjoy soaking it all in.

Then it was time for me to warm the car up and head to Trey's house to check on Maggie. I was really dreading this because as you can see it was 37 degrees and she always runs off to places she doesn't belong.

Heater all the way up! Steering wheel heat on as well as the seats!
I hate the winter!

As soon as I got back home and warmed up, it was on to laundry!
We were busy catching up from the weekend!

After a couple of loads, I headed to my bedroom to put away some of that laundry!
It didn't take too long.

Then it was lunch time! Makena was also home today (the museum is closed on Mondays). She has been on a fitness journey for almost a year now and looks amazing I might add. But she tries to cook stuff that is good for you, with the right portion size. I, on the other hand, am a little lazy when it comes to prepping ahead of time, and when I'm hungry, well, it's time to eat! So around 11:45, we decided to fix lunch. So here she is, in all her gloriousness:

Chimichanga with cheese dip and lime chips.
And it was good to the last bite.

Makena chose to put The Brady Bunch on while we were eating.
12 p.m.

I forgot to take pictures of me doing dishes, but I did take one of the clean kitchen!

2:45 p.m.

Makena and I went to watch Wrenley tumble at gymnastics. We got about 3 miles up the road when this light came on. Carl assured me that it was fine, so we proceeded.

4 p.m.

She takes gymnastics in a town about 20 minutes from where we live. Wrenley was so happy to see us!
4:25 p.m.

We made it back home with our low-ish tire, and believe it or not, but Carl had dinner fixed for us! Chinese fried rice, egg rolls, and General Tso chicken. It was delicious too (sorry, no picture).

My beautiful but cold view.

5:45 p.m.

Ahh, I like this warm cozy view too!
6:30 p.m.

All fresh and showered! My mirror is still dirty, but that's okay!
8:30 p.m.

After editing the blog, it's finally time for bed! Goodnight, friends.
Today didn’t come with fireworks or life-changing revelations. It came with dishes, texts from grown kids, time with my granddaughter, and the occasional dramatic sigh — and somehow, that feels exactly right. These small, ordinary rhythms are where most of life actually lives. Now let’s both go switch the laundry we pretended we forgot about.

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! We made it through another week here on the homestead. Today, I am linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday Favorites :) This week has flown by! On Monday, Wrenley started her new "school year" at daycare. Even though she is in the same school with a lot of the same kids, she moved up and is now officially in PreK! She has had to adjust to new teachers, but seems to like it so far :) She is BeBe's big girl! 💓💓💓 At the beginning of the week, Carl asked if Makena and I wanted to go with him and Trey put some corn and salt blocks out for the deer. Say less, sir! Of course, our answer was yes :) Our chariot and driver Trey and Maggie Hopefully, our hard work pays off! Also came across this guy. He was around 5 ft. long and had 14 rattlers. Don't ask how I know that 😟 We always have a good time when we hang out with our guys, and that is most certainly a favorite! Watching my girl do her thing at work will always be my favorite!...

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I am linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday Favorites. This is going to be a rapid-fire Friday favorites because it is getting late and I have to wake up extra early to pick up a special little girl :) The said little girl! Nobody ever told me how much you love your grandbabies! Spending time with Wrenley is always one of my favorites💗 Another one of my favorite things is watching Makena present. This time she was on her "home turf". She did a presentation on The Stuttgart Army Airfield for a historical group at our community center. They had their biggest turnout for a meeting because Makena has so many people who support her and love her. We are thankful for everyone who came. Of course she did a great job. I'm always proud of her. It is always a favorite any time I get a video or picture of my grandson, Wesley. I can't wait until June! My gentle giant, Boone, wanting to do his favorite thing: GO OUTSIDE! Makena ...

Friday Favorites

Woo Hoo, it's Friday! Just last week I was talking about how this month is flying by, but this week has moved at a snail's pace! Today, I am linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for Friday Favorites. I have been working on my fitness for about a year now, more seriously in the past 6 months. One thing I've worked on is getting my daily protein in. I tried the built puff protein bars a while ago and they are wonderful, but earlier this week I found the sour puffs, and wow, those things are surprisingly amazing!! I've also taken the new year to do a little more for myself. I started ordering from Nuuly (a monthly clothing subscription). I have found serveral brands that I have wanted to try. There is no pressure to buy anything. You just simply pick 6 items, wear them for the month and send it back and then pick 6 more items (of course, you can purchase if you like). This is a new favorite of mine. At the end of November I bought tickets to the Jason Aldean conce...
