Happy Monday! I hope all of you mothers were spoiled and treated like the queens you are! I had a great weekend. Carl is pretty good about making it special for me. My kids were all over the place on Saturday, and Carl was off, so we spent the day together :) We went shopping, grilled out for lunch and supper, and spent some time at the pool. I also helped my mom get things ready for Mother's Day lunch at her house on Sunday. Sweet Makena brought me home a delicious fun drink from our local dirty drink place, The Quack Shack (she had to work all day) and gave me her gift early and Trey came home in time for supper and gave me his gift (it's funny how the smell of food always brings him home!). Sunday was church day. Carlie and Wrenley came out and brought me a gift, and we went to church (Caleb was at the fire station). We refreshments for moms between Sunday School and Morning Worship. After lunch at my parent's, I came home and did exactly what I wanted...NAP! Here are a few pictures I took this weekend.
Being their mom is such a blessing.
Being Wrenley's BeBe is the cherry on top! Still waiting on our sweet Wesley to arrive :)
Me and my mom.
I love her to the moon and back.
She is the most unselfish person I know. Love you, Mom.
Wrenley loves her great-great-grandmother, Grammy.
My Grammy has always been such a big part of my life.
I miss her so much.
Her eyes used to hold so much light and life, and now they are growing dim.
Dementia is an awful disease.
This is not Mother's Day related (although it did occur on Mother's Day), but I never need an excuse to post Wrenley. Toby just came over and set his booty down on her lap, and she just sat there, petting him.
You probably just had to be there :)
Carl does a backflip the first time he gets in the water every year.
It was very cold!
I got some much-needed sun :)
Like I said, it was a great weekend. I got to spend time with all of the special ladies in my life.
"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you; And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26
Much Love,
Beth
