Memorial Day Weekend

We had a pretty low-key weekend. Carl worked all weekend (except Sunday), so we couldn't do a lot. This has seemed like the never-ending planting season, but we are thankful for our job nonetheless. Friday evening we had a graduation celebration for my nephew's 5th grade graduation.  We grilled burgers and ate by the pool. Carl made it in around 6:30 or so and was able to eat with us and play pool basketball with the kids. They all love him. Noah David, 2018 5th grade graduate Let's dig in! I think somebody missed the goal Get the ball! Trey was sneaking cup cakes and peanut butter chewies! The moon over our garden On Saturday we placed flags on the graves of those who served in the military.  The girls stayed home but T and I met my mom, Noah, and Elijah to get the job done.  We Remember  All of the cousins My beauties! Pool Days

Toby loves to hang out at the pool with us! Makena and Trey decided that they were gonna make a slip and slide...well, that didnt last long because it wasn't really that slippery and they are too big now. Trey on the watermelon We love watermelon and summer! T is really "in" to the whole peace sign thing! Makena was a little less amused.  Carlie and Toby. If it seems like this little guy is the star of the show, he is! He is full of personality! All smiles here!! Makena and Trey were trying to find a small turtle. Pool says are fun days!! Much Love, Beth

Wrapping Things Up

Whew, we are officially on summer break! Carlie finished on Monday, Trey on Tuesday, and Makena Faith finished on Wednesday. I had someone ask me how one could be finished and the others weren't. They didn't homeschool it was odd to them. One of my favorite perks of homeschooling is that we just do our own thing. We have a schedule, yes; we have tests and quizzes and daily lessons to watch, BUT they can all be modified. This is especially true for my high schoolers. They each have planners that they write their weekly assignments in. This includes tests and quizzes as well as any reports or compositions that may be due. They know when to have them done by. Here is where I think this is really benefiting them..I don't hound them on getting it done. They know when it's due. They know that it must be done in order for us to stay in the accredited academy, so they choose when they do it (this mainly goes for big projects and reports, but is true to a point on tests and quiz...

Mother's Day Weekend

I had a great Mother's Day weekend. My kids bought/made me nice gifts and were super sweet to me. Friday night some of the kids in our youth group went to an Arkansas Travelers baseball game. Carl didn't get to come because of work (blah) so we didnt stsy for the second game but we had a lot of fun for the first one. Saturday we went swimming at Nanny and Pop's We had a few friends/cousins to swim with.  And of course, Toby hung out at the pool with us. We ended the day with a quick ride on the river. It was a fun Saturday. Me and my girlies  I know that I posted a couple of pictures of me and the kids on my last post, but this is a little bit different. I do love these three. They are the best kids anyone could ask for and I feel so blessed that God chose me to be their Momma!. Much Love, Beth

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there! A mother's love is one of the first loves we know. She nurtured us; provided for us. She was there when we took our first steps and said our first words. I am blessed to have a mother who not only knew the importance of taking care of my physical needs, but also my spiritual needs. She took me to church as a small child and made sure that I knew that even though she loved me more than I could ever know, there was someone who loved more...Jesus. It was (and still is) important to her. She tried her best to make sure I had the opportunity to know Jesus on a personal level and accept His salvation. That is the greatest thing she has ever done for me. It is because of her love for me that I know Christ as my Savior and that I have followed in her footsteps and made sure that my kids had that same opportunity. I am not saying that she is perfect...she is human. I am certainly not saying that I am perfect. I fail daily.  She is however,...

State Bowling Tourney 2018

Chilling in the hotel before heading to the bowling alley  All smiles in J-Town Makena and Trey were ready for doubles Yes, Carlie gets her Daddy to tie her shoes good and tight! Three of the four Stuttgart teams bowled beside each other on Saturday.  Chance and Trey relaxing in the pool Sunday morning came bright and early! Carlie's team wore alien shirts. Trey and Makena's team T-Man came home with three patches! Carl and I were so proud of him. Trey and Makena got 5th place overall in doubles.  That is out of 120 doubles! They did awesome. Keep in mind that this was the first tournament for both of them. On April 28th all five Mungers headed to Jonesboro for the Arkansas State Youth Bowling Tournament. We had fun, made tons of memories, and came home winners! I have had some people ask me how we got into bowling. First of all let me just say that we are not "bowling people". Carl bowled some in high s...

Woo Pig!

If you don't know by now my Makena Faith is a HUGE sports fan. Baseball, basketball, football, she loves them all. Of course, the Razorbacks are particularly near and dear to her heart. She can probably tell you most of the players and their stats for the men's teams. That being said, my sweet Dad decided to take Makena to see the Hogs play in Little Rock. Ya'll...she was so happy! It does a mama's heart good to see her babies happy. She didn't mind going alone with Pop! Thankfully they won the game (it was a last minute thing..I do not know much about baseball) and made it home shortly after 11pm. Her phone died but my dad sent lots of pics. I think she talked about that game for 2 weeks! Here are a few of the pictures they sent me: She said she had a great view (see below) She appreciated this view😊😊 Selfie with her Pop Calling those Hogs! She evidently liked this view also🤣🤣 According to her, it was a close and exciting game! ...
