A Christmas Wonderland

Ready to Party!!

Maxee and Makena posing by one
of Aunt Kat's trees

This one is the bird tree, I think.
She had all kinds of bird ornaments on it..
even some little nests!  Trey kept wanting to
get the mini eggs out of them.

We loved this cowboy snowman!
I also really liked the Patriotic tree.
She had lots of flag ornaments, but there
were also some special ornaments made
of pictures of family members who have served in our
Armed Forces.

The first time that my kids went to Aunt Kat's house, a few years ago,
this was Trey's all time favorite tree because of Santa in the big truck.
He still says this is his favorite tree :)

On Saturday we went to Sheridan to my great aunt and uncle's house for our first Christmas Party of the year!  The special thing about her house is that she decorates every single room with a tree and/or some kind of Christmas decor.  It isn't tacky, but very well thought out and all the trees are themed.  She even has Christmas toilet paper in her bathrooms!  The kids thought that was the coolest thing EVER!!  We had a good time visiting, eating, and singing Christmas carol's.  Her house really is like walking into a Christmas Wonderland.  The coolest thing is, that even though she has all of this pretty stuff, she doesn't mind the kids touching it.  Her rule is "you can touch, just don't be rough"!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
