Follow The Star!

Makena, the Chief Priest, with Anthony who played
King Herod

Carlie played Mary

Trey was also a Chief Priest and he said
his parts very well.  I was proud of him.

Makena singing her solo.  I did get it on video, but my Internet
has been acting up, so if I get a chance I will put it up
later.

Robert, who played Joseph (I know, a red-headed Joseph!!),
Carlie, and Cash (young Jesus)

Carlie and Bonnie were getting ready to sing their
duet.

On Sunday night we had our church Christmas program which was titled, "Follow The Star".  It was your typical Christmas only this was told by the Wise Men.  We were kind of in a panic at first because one of our Wise Men (played by a girl) had car trouble coming in from LR but finally made it after we stalled for about 15minutes!  I was getting a little nervous because I was going to have to fill in for her!  I didn't really know the songs or the part, so I was really glad to see her walk in the door!
Other than that, the program went well and the kids did a great job :)  Trey even sang out on the parts that he knew, and it was really cute.  Maybe I'll get that video to load.
Trey asks me everyday how many more days it is until Christmas.  I can't wait to see his little eyes when he gets one of his presents, he will be SO happy :)
We've been busy over the past couple of days trying to clean out toys in the kids rooms so I can make room for more.  The only problem is that nobody wants to get rid of anything!!  I may be raising hoarders!!
I'm about done with my Christmas shopping.  One more trip to LR, and I think I'll be done :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
