God Bless Saturday!

This was my seat when I was actually sitting down.  I can watch the kids play perfectly from this very spot.  Add a cup of sweet tea and it makes for a perfect Saturday!

The kids begged me to let them play on the trampoline with the water hose.  This is one of our pre-pool activities!  It was pretty warm, but by the time I took this picture Carlie and Trey had already retreated to warm up!

How sweet is this?!  I couldn't believe it.  Carlie was sharing the swing with T.  Notice they are all wrapped up in their towels :)  We have our moments!

Here is Carlie with one of her cats again!  This cat is solid black.  It has many names, but she calls it "Little Pretty Kitty".  He's about to get to big for his name!

Almost always when we have bonfires we do it when it's dark outside.  However, today the weather was so perfect we decided to have one about an hour before it got dark.  It was really nice.

Carlie likes her marshmallows barely cooked!  Or as she calls them, "golden".
Yes, she was trying to get out of my picture, but I got her anyway :)

Trey is doing better about getting his just the right color.  For the longest time his ended up as sticky ash, but he is learning not to let them catch on fire!

Carl and Makena.  I had forgotten to pick up Hershey bars for smores, so I had to use snickers!
They said they were pretty good, but I didn't try them.

This never gets old to him :)

It was another Saturday family fun day.  Not to complain or anything, I mean I love having Carl around, but they have absolutely NO crops planted.  I don't think they have ever been this late, and to say they are all getting antsy is an understatement.  We are seriously praying that the rain will end soon, so we can get super busy.  I probably will be complaining then!

God Bless Saturday!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
