Rockin' Into the New Year!

Hello 2019!  It's hard to believe that 2018 went by so fast.  We had a pretty uneventful NYE, just chilling with the family.  Last year we fixed seafood (crab and shrimp with all the fixin's) and ate at home with just our little family.  This year we extended it to my parents, grandparents, and my sister and her kids.  We celebrated in my parents garage so the kids could have room to play ping pong and have room to goof around.  My dad fried up some fish, french fries, hush puppies, and biscuits because some people didn't like the heat of our crab boil goodies.
So yummy!

They don't mind working for their food.

Grammy hadn't ever eaten crab, but seemed to enjoy her meal.

After we ate we played ping pong and Uno, then we took our party home.

One of the few pictures I got of Makena

We played Monopoly and shot some fireworks then watched the ball drop.  The most excitement was when I tripped over a case of water bottles and rolled across the dining room floor.  Everybody got a big kick out of that! Everyone except me...but it really was probably funny to watch.  I felt it today!
Doesn't everybody wear their "business hat" when they play Monopoly?!

Carlie loves her some Oliver Von Watson
He just wanted some food.

Everyone stayed in bed pretty late today..like 10 o'clock late.  That never happens around here. I foresee being pretty unproductive today!

Much Love,
Beth

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown.
