Happy Monday, good friends! I hope you all had the best weekend. It was pretty low-key around here. On Friday, I watched Wrenley all day. I hadn't seen her in a whole week, so I was really needing my girl!
She was watching my uncle's new dog, Skipper in our yard.
We ate McDonald's for breakfast. She wanted a McGriddle and a hashbrown. We went to Nanny and Pop's house and played all morning. Then Carl came home around 12 for the day. We "rested" for about an hour and then it was back to playing!
We had a tea party.
She mostly just like drinking her tea from a spoon and making a mess.
Then we took a ride on the Ranger
She laughed and squealed because Boone came with us and ran in a big puddle of water.
Carlie and Caleb came and brought some take-out plates from a fish fry at the Christian school my kids attended when they were younger. Then she went outside and looked at where we are going to plant the garden. Somehow, she slid down and got mud all over her which led to a bath at BeBe's. I was worn out when they left, but it was a good day. She only got mad at me once (ha!).
I didn't take any pictures on Saturday. We used it as a catch-up and clean-up day. Carl was home, so he cleaned out his shop. I swear you couldn't even walk in there. It is much better now. He says he may put his jet boat down here, but it usually just stays at Trey's house. At least he can find what he needs now!
He also moved the hot tub down to Trey's.
Makena had to work all day but opted out of the gym so she could enjoy the nice weather, because the weather in Arkansas changes on a dime and boy are we in for a change!
On Sunday we went to church. It was a great day in the Lord's house! Trey had to leave church because he wasn't feeling well. I think he is fine, but he has been fighting allergies pretty bad over the past week. There is pollen everywhere!
Wrenley and Makena on our way to my parents' house for Sunday lunch
We had a bit of severe weather after church. There was a tornado warning. Wrenley called me to check on me from the bathroom. She said, "You're okay BeBe?" I thought it was so sweet. There was a funnel that may have briefly touched down not far from Carlie's house. Thank goodness there was no damage and everyone is just fine!
This is what a coworker sent Makena from her house in Stuttgart
The clouds were very ominous
Starting to clear
Trey came to our house during the storm and brought Maggie.
She's such a cute little stinker.
Despite the chaos, the unfinished to-do lists, and the realization that I forgot half the things I meant to do…Weekends are still the best. They’re full of little moments, small laughs, and just enough rest to help us survive another week.
And honestly? If the house is a little messy and the to-do list is still half full, that just means we did the weekend right.
Much Love,
Beth
