For a while now Makena has been begging me to let her get on Facebook and well, I just refused. I know, mean old mama!! Facebook can be used for good, but to have my 8 year old on there, I just don't think it's necessary. So then she wanted to know if she could blog. I thought about it for a while and then decided to let her do it. I love to write, and to have one of my kids share my passion, is awesome :) It acts as a stress reliever, mind clearer, and a journal/scrapbook for me. She jumped right in after I showed her and has done a great job so far. I do plan on making her blog private just for safety issues, but I want her to have a few trusted readers too.
