Back To Normal

Okay, so I haven't been in a blogging mood over the past couple of weeks, but now I think I'm back!!  Speaking of being back...things are getting back to normal around our house :)  That makes me one happy Mommy :)  My sweet Mommy bought me this book while she was out of town this week.  Let me just say the Beth Moore does not disappoint :)  I love all the scriptures she uses in it.  It's really helped me.

My cousin Leslie asked me if I could start picking her little girl, Megan, up from school until school was out.  My girls love to play with Megan, and even though they don't go to the same school, Megan comes to swim with us in the summer :)

Yes, Trey insisted in being in the picture....and yes, he has his
shirt off (what a redneck!!) !  He is such a clown :)

Wednesday night was Discovery night at church.  The kids really like it and right now we are really working on our verses for Discovery Olympics.  Let me just say that it is so amazing to watch these kids learn God's Word.  I have a kid in my class that is not a studious kid, doesn't particularly care for school, but has done awesome on memorizing those verses.  I am probably most proud of that student because he tries so hard.  Here are a few pictures of our Discovery kids ( I didn't get any of the teens, and these aren't all of the smaller groups):
Cash, Bonnie, and Trevor

Makena and Trey

Piper

Cid and Spencer

And Jeremy Dale.
Well, that was our week at a glance.  Not too exciting, but that is perfectly fine with me :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
