A Bonfire of Sorts

Our "campground"

Trey was trying to tell Elijah what to do

He figured out how to go down with the truck.

He did this over and over again!

Tummy slide!!

Carlie was trying to get Ellie Kate to
come up to her...yea right, Carls!

Ellie Kate

Our cousin fun continued yesterday evening when we had plans to have a little bonfire.  It didn't go exactly as planned, but I think the kids still had fun.  Carl put Trey's tent up so the kids could just play around.  After everyone left Carl and I sat outside and Trey was pretending to sleep in his tent!  He begged us to stay the night outside with him but we had to tell him no because Carl had to get up early this morning and go to work.  I do see a backyard camp out in our near future.  We gotta do it before those dreaded mosquitoes get too bad :)
Today we are planning to play some more with The Simpson's before they go back to Morrilton and cleaning the front porch is definitely on my list.  I found out why Carl hates sidewalk chalk so much....Trey wrote all over the porch with it!!  I don't think he left one space unmarked!!  I told him I'd try and get it cleaned up today!!
Mostly we are just going to try and enjoy this beautiful day that the Lord has given us :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
