Easter Preview

This is Makena's Easter dress:
She is the hardest to buy for because it's hard
to find plus-size clothing that is cute.  We found this
one on the Old Navy website.  Boutiques don't
carry true plus-size most of the time.

The girls shoes.  Too bad they don't like the little white
eyelet lace socks and stride rite shoes anymore.

We are still trying to decide between these two dresses for Carlie.
I like them both.  The white is more fitted and straight and the green one
is a bubble.  She really likes the green one, I guess I just wanted them to
match a little more.  Again, long gone are the days of matching smocked dresses.
I know, GET OVER IT!
I guess Carlie's dress will just have to be a surprise, as will Trey's, since
I haven't bought him anything yet!  Boys are pretty easy and since we're going to LR on
Wednesday, I'll shop for him then.
Speaking of Wednesday, please pray for me as I am going for academic advising at UALR.  I'm very excited and nervous.  If I can't get the classes I need for the summer online, I'll be waiting until the fall.  I really want to start in the summer for numerous reasons.  Also pray for Trey because as of tomorrow morning around 8:30 he will be minus one tooth.  I took him last Monday and he has an abscess (never complained) so he has been on antibiotics for a week and tomorrow is THE DAY!  Just writing that makes me sick to my stomach because the last time he had a tooth pulled was after his accident when he was two, and that was just traumatic for me and him.  It took me and two nurses to hold him down, and I was as close as I have ever been to fainting.  Not a good time.
Other than that, we are looking forward to a 4 day school week:  Yea for Good Friday!!
Hope you all have an awesome week.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
