Hangin' With The Cousins

Yesterday Carl and I took the kids to stay at his sister, Wendy's house.  It was just an overnight trip, but we had a lot of fun.  We got to watch some old videos from back before Carl was even born.  He really enjoyed seeing everybody in their younger days :) Trey was in heaven with all the different tractors to play with....and of course Uncle John! Makena, Riley, and Carlie were just hanging out Riley and Trey were riding down the hill in some sort of wheel barrow. Trey loved it! Carlie also gave it a whirl, but that darn picture won't load right now :{ Makena enjoyed pushing them down the hill, but not actually riding down it. Even though we were only gone for one night, it's always so great to be back home and "back to normal".  The kids are at a previously cancelled Christmas party tonight and Trey and Carl are just doing boy stuff, which leaves me to blog :)  We are very excited about our New Year's Eve party tomorrow night (a bonfire-did you expe...

Merry Christmas....Finally!!

Well it's finally Christmas (on my blog!).  After a full day of running everywhere on Saturday, we were pretty pooped, but there was no rest for Mommy and Daddy because we had to get the kids stuff together!  Our masterpiece! Carlie with her new bike! Makena with her giant dog.....I would have never gotten her this, but she told Carl that's what she wanted, so that's what she got! T LOVED his crane.  He had no idea that he was getting this.  In fact he never really mentioned that he wanted one, but again Carl picked it out for him. I think he did a pretty good job! Carlie had been wanting this make-up and was very happy to get it! Makena got an Easy Bake Oven! Trey and his cap guns They also got a trampoline but it was we that morning because it had rained a little and Makena was the only one who would get on anyway!! There are so many more pictures that I could have put on here, but frankly I'm tired up uploading the ones that are on here!  We had a wonderfu...

Christmas Part 3

For our third Christmas and the second of Christmas Eve, we headed North to Wynne for our Christmas with Nana and Papaw T.R.  We don't get to see this group nearly as much as the others, so it's always great to catch up with everyone :)  For some reason I was feeling rather sickly this day (Carl had been up in the wee hours of the morning with stomach issues) and I guess that's why I didn't get many pictures, but here are the few I got: That's all I have.  I know, it's kinda sad. All of the kids love the little bags of goodies they got and of course the money!!  They haven't spent any of it yet, but they all have ideas (they change daily) of what they are going to buy :)  Oh, and Nana, Trey LOVED his pajama pants because they were "big boy" pants, and they have motorcylces on them!  We love you guys and appreciate all that you do for us, not just at Christmas, but all throughout the year. Christmas Part 2

Our second round of family Christmas was at my Mom and Dad's house on Christmas Eve morning.  The kids were so excited and got way more than they needed, in fact we had to lay the seats down just to get it all home.  Good thing we live so close!  Here are a few of my pictures from the day: Pop with his deer camera.  Nanny got some shirts, a nutcracker, and a label maker but she was so busy from here to there that I didn't get her picture with them. We had a great Christmas with Nanny and Pop and as usual they really went all out.  Thank you Nanny, Pop, Jamie, and Cody for all the gifts you got us.  We love you more than you could ever imagine :) Beth

Christmas Part 1

Our first Christmas of the season with our families came tonight.  It was with Grammy and Papa, so we didn't have to travel far.  We all drew names this year, so that was a little different.  Usually the adults just get presents from Grammy and Papa (which is fine with me), but this year we got two :)  Of course Mr. Cheapo didn't want to have to buy all those presents, but he got over it when he got his two bags of deer corn from Jill (what he told her he wanted)! Look at all those stockings!!  And I know of 3 that were missing :) Despite the look on her face in this picture, she was in LOVE with this Blizzard maker! Makena with her Bratz doll.  You can color her hair and put make-up on her. She was very happy! And T got a remote control helicopter.  We didn't open this one at Grammy's because we knew it would get broken, but when we got home he had a blast flying it around. Our Family with Grammy and Papa Trey with Jeremy Hadlee Miche...

Wednesday Randoms

This is going to be a completely random post because there are just too many things I want to write about!  Today the family loaded up and drove to LR to exchange a few things and do a little more shopping.  Y'all, I am so tired of shopping.  It's never been my favorite thing to do, but Carl and I have been to LR one day a week shopping for the past 4 weeks.  He has now officially said "NO MORE".  But I took that to mean in LR, because I have a few more things to get in town tomorrow :)  We also got stopped first thing in LR because Carl ran a red light!  Thankfully they guy that stopped us was super nice and would rather talk about killing ducks in Stuttgart rather than running red lights!  I guess he was bored or something.  There were like three other cars that ran the light, we just happened to be the last one.  Oh well, had to have some excitement today.  Here are a few random things that I've been meaning to post, but di...

Arrest These Merry Gentlemen!

Carlie in front of the school tree Makena Faith Trey in front of the Giving Tree.  Everyone brings supplies for the school and puts them under the tree. Carlie on stage with some of her classmates Makena with Madeline and Sidney The 4th grade class on stage with "Rookie" and "Sheriff Joe Sabbath" Braden, Trey, Hayden, and Atticus singing (loudly) The Choir The first row is most of the boys in Mrs. Odom's class The ending scene.  Four of the six on stage are seniors :(  They will be greatly missed next year! The name of our school program this year was "Arrest These Merry Gentlemen" and if you get a chance you should go on YouTube and look it up.  You probably won't find our school doing it, but there is a school in Texas that does it and it is super cute.  This was of course Trey's first school Christmas Program and he did really well.  All of the teachers got such a kick out of watching him sing because his whole body would move when he...
