Christmas Part 1

Our first Christmas of the season with our families came tonight.  It was with Grammy and Papa, so we didn't have to travel far.  We all drew names this year, so that was a little different.  Usually the adults just get presents from Grammy and Papa (which is fine with me), but this year we got two :)  Of course Mr. Cheapo didn't want to have to buy all those presents, but he got over it when he got his two bags of deer corn from Jill (what he told her he wanted)!
Look at all those stockings!!  And I know of 3 that were missing :)

Despite the look on her face in this picture, she was in LOVE with this Blizzard maker!

Makena with her Bratz doll.  You can color her hair and put make-up on her.
She was very happy!

And T got a remote control helicopter.  We didn't open this one at Grammy's because we knew it would get broken, but when we got home he had a blast flying it around.

Aunt Becky and Uncle Dean (hidden behind Noah) with the Munger/Simpson kiddos minus Ellie Kate.  She was getting sleepy and didn't want to cooperate.

It was a fun night, the kids had a blast and liked everything that they got.  I think most of all they had so much fun playing with all of their cousins!

Merry Eve of Christmas Eve!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
