Wednesday Randoms

This is going to be a completely random post because there are just too many things I want to write about!  Today the family loaded up and drove to LR to exchange a few things and do a little more shopping.  Y'all, I am so tired of shopping.  It's never been my favorite thing to do, but Carl and I have been to LR one day a week shopping for the past 4 weeks.  He has now officially said "NO MORE".  But I took that to mean in LR, because I have a few more things to get in town tomorrow :)  We also got stopped first thing in LR because Carl ran a red light!  Thankfully they guy that stopped us was super nice and would rather talk about killing ducks in Stuttgart rather than running red lights!  I guess he was bored or something.  There were like three other cars that ran the light, we just happened to be the last one.  Oh well, had to have some excitement today.
Here are a few random things that I've been meaning to post, but didn't know exactly where to put them :)
Trey made this ornament for me at school.
I love it!

Carl took Papa hunting at the farm last weekend and Papa killed a six point.
Grammy said it is the biggest buck he has killed.  He was really excited, and Carl was excited that he killed it when he took him.

I am so in love with this label maker that I treated myself to!
I had one when Trey was a baby and everybody laughed at me
because I labeled EVERYTHING, but one of the kids broke it and I'm just now breaking down and getting another one.  It's pretty handy, and I've just been labeling away!

On a completely different note, our new doggy, Oscar is doing great.  He's still so shy, but he really seems to enjoy going outside on his own now.  Completely potty trained people!!!  That really sealed the deal for me.  I can't clean up after anything/one more in this house.  He's the perfect dog for us :)

There.  I think that pretty much sums up my random thoughts for the day.  Happy Hump Day!  Only 4 more days until Christmas :) :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
