My Baby

Today was a bittersweet day for me.  Trey brought home his blend book and first reader today!  Y'all, I about cried.  He was so excited as he pulled it out of his backpack to show me.  I had talked with his teacher last week and she said she was thinking about sending them home for them to work on it during Christmas break, but when I heard him beginning to sound all the little words out, it brought tears to my eyes.  This is what he's been waiting for all year long :)   He already thinks he's hot stuff because he can write his name in cursive and the older (1st and 2nd graders) public school kids at church haven't learned to yet.

Here he is sitting at his little desk working on his letter book from last year.
Well, T, looks like you made through your first semester of Kindergarten and Mrs. Odom says that you're doing great!  I'm so glad that you like going to school and that you are so eager to learn and of course that you love you're friends so much.  You are a smart kid and before you know it you'll be in your cap and gown for your Kindergarten Graduation singing, "Kindergarten's Over".   We love you and are so very proud of you :)

Three Doses of Happiness

Laundry piled up, dishes in the sink, phone buzzing with many emails, toys all over the house.......sounds like an absolute perfect time to go outside and relax with my kiddos! Today has been a VERY warm day.  It probably would be more enjoyable if we didn't know that it would more than likely storm tonight!  Carlie didn't go to school today because she was up a lot last night with stomach issues.  She never vomited, but she was very nauseated and has had stomach cramps.  She hasn't felt bad all day, just off and one.  We might be going to the doctor tomorrow p.m. because Sunday night I noticed that she has a little bulge above her belly button, I wasn't concerned about it (really) until her stomach started hurting and she said that it hurt to tough.  Maybe it's nothing, but people keep mentioning hernia to me.  Please pray that she feels better soon.  Also tomorrow is the big day....academic advising.  I remember the very first time I was advised (somewhere a
