Garrett Family Christmas

Today we had our Garrett side of the family Christmas party in DeWitt.  It was great to see family that I haven't seen in a while and to spend time with my niece and nephews.  Trey was happy that Noah and Eli were there to play with him because the only other boys in the family are a lot older than him and don't really want to play with him.  When I asked him if he had fun playing with Noah and Eli, he said, "I didn't even know that they knew them (the Garrett's)"!!  I guess Jamie and Cody haven't been with us at this Christmas Party or anything else with this side of the family in a while.  He didn't know they were related!!

Trey playing at Aunt Shelia's with Noah and Elijah

All Nanny's grandkids....boys cannot sit by girls, didn't you know?!

I didn't get many pictures everybody, but here are a few of the kids with their gifts.  They all three got new jackets:

The girls with their new movies and Trey with his gun:

Makena got Soul Surfer

Carlie got Barbie Christmas movie.  I'm not sure the official name of it.

Then Trey opened a little truck set and the girls got girlie stuff, lip gloss, fingernail polish, all that good stuff!

Makena was SO excited about her fake fingernails because I just refuse to waste my money on them!

Our Family

All Papaw's kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.  There were several cameras taking pictures at this time, and obviously nobody was looking at Carl!  He did a great job taking pictures today, though.  Love you, Honey :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
