Merry Christmas....Finally!!

Well it's finally Christmas (on my blog!).  After a full day of running everywhere on Saturday, we were pretty pooped, but there was no rest for Mommy and Daddy because we had to get the kids stuff together!
Our masterpiece!

Carlie with her new bike!
Makena with her giant dog.....I would have never gotten her this, but she told Carl that's what she wanted, so that's what she got!
T LOVED his crane.  He had no idea that he was getting this.  In fact he never really mentioned that he wanted one, but again Carl picked it out for him. I think he did a pretty good job!

Carlie had been wanting this make-up and was very happy to get it!
Makena got an Easy Bake Oven!
Trey and his cap guns
They also got a trampoline but it was we that morning because it had rained a little and Makena was the only one who would get on anyway!!
There are so many more pictures that I could have put on here, but frankly I'm tired up uploading the ones that are on here!  We had a wonderful Christmas.  After we opened presents we had Cinnamon rolls and juice for breakfast, then we all got dressed and went to church.  It was a great service.  I personally liked having Christmas on Sunday.  What better day to celebrate the birth of Christ?  After church we all went back to Grammy and Papa's for lunch then it was time to head home and maybe get some rest.....NOT!  Of course we had to try out our Blizzard maker and our EBO!  So we had some red velvet cupcakes and ice cream!  It was our little birthday party for Jesus :)
We left around 5 to go to the movies.  A tradition that we started about 2 years ago.  This year we saw Chipwrecked.  It was very cute, even for a cartoon.
Another Christmas, another day of magical memories that I'll cherish forever....Christmas with my kids is one of the best experiences of each year and I am once again, so very blessed to be their mom.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for another Friday favorites. And here they are in no particular order: Last week our preacher told us that he had a surprise for us next week.  I had honestly forgotten about it until Carl mentioned at lunch on Sunday.  Trey said he knew what it was, but he wasn't telling.  It still didn't occur to me what it could be until we arrived at church on Sunday night, and I saw that Trey had a notebook along with his Bible sitting next to him on our pew.  It was him. Trey was the surprise.  He gave a short devotion before our Business Meeting.  He did well, considering it was his first time.  He said the congregation was a lot scarier when you are the one being stared at! This is a big deal because about 7 months ago he realized that he needed Jesus as his Savior.  And that came after about 7 months of me worrying about him, while he was trying to stretch hi...

Friday Favorites

Today I'm linking up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for the first Friday Favorites of 2025! Over the past three weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend more time with Wrenley. She is growing up so much. She is speaking in full sentences and is a clown to boot! We've enjoyed lots of naps in BeBe's bed, playing with baby dolls (one of her favorite things), and since I have to pick her up before 7 a.m. on the days she stays with me, we enjoy getting her favorites: donuts (nonuts) and hotcakes from McDonald's -not at the same time though! Snug as a bug in a rug! She loves her Ky Ky Another favorite is a clean kitchen! We have had our house in a bit of chaos like I'm sure everyone else has with all the holiday festivities (and with Carl being off). I am glad to have everything in its proper place! That ray of sunshine is therapy for my soul! The next thing on my favorites list is Carl's chili. We had it last night and will probably have leftovers for a few day...

Friday Favorites

It's been a hot minute since I've linked up with  Andrea  and  Erika  for a Friday Favorites! This is me trying to get back into my blogging groove :) I came across this little dress last year when we moved, and I knew it would be fit Wrenley this summer! It was Makena's circa 2004.  I just love it when a plan comes together.  A favorite for sure! Look at those babies. Twenty years has flown by. Miss Wrenley Beth. She doesn't look a thing like her momma, but definitely has Aunt Makena's sass! Hopefully as her hair grows, she will get Carlie's curls. We have been doing as much outdoor activities as possible.  That includes one of my favorite things...fishing! Carl, showing off his big bass. We weren't technically bass fishing, but whatever bites. It'll eat! Of course we have also been going to the river.  Our kids weren't able to go with us, so we just took the jet ski.   It has been raining so the water is a gross brown. I didn't s...
