Happy Tuesday, friends. For the past two weeks I have managed to get my weekend recap post up on a Tuesday. After waking up at 5:30 every morning last week, it was nice to be able to sleep-in until 7:30-8 o'clock! We pretty much spent the weekend with our kids and grandkids. Here is a precious picture of my sweet boy Wesley:
He's just getting so big!
On Saturday, Carl smoked ribs and we invited Carlie and the kids to come out and eat with us. I know that when Caleb is at the fire station, it sure makes for long days. I try to help as much as I can. We ended up taking Wrenley to the houseboat. That is the first time she has been on it since we put it in the river. She was a little scared at first (it didn't help that we took the little aluminum boat), but she really liked putting her feet in the water. Pappy forgot the key, so we had to stay on the porch. She also didn't love wearing the lifejacket, so a short trip was fine with her!
She was all smiles 💗
She was pretty much glued to Aunt Kena on the boat.
And now be prepared for some more baby spam!
He was thinking about it...
There it is. That sweet smile!
So, if you are new here, I am currently spending my days watching my almost 3 month old grandson. He has a spot in the same daycare that Wrenley attends preschool but his mom and I both agreed that maybe she would wait until after Labor Day to send him. I kept Wrenley (along with Caleb's mom and my parents occasionally) until she was 16 months old. Although I do not love to get up at 5:30 five days a week, I wouldn't trade this precious time with him for anything. I love having time to bond with him. He really is a good baby, but man...he can fight sleep like it's his job! He is starting to coo and smile. I know I will be sad when he has to go to daycare, but that isn't my choice to make. I'll just love on him while I can.
I call him my little bear💙
Now for an update on Trey. He missed work all of last week. He was so dizzy and had an awful headache. The doctor ordered an MRI, and it came back clear (praise the Lord). We finally came to the conclusion that dehydration complicated his other issues. I am happy to say that he is back to work now and he seems to be doing great. He is drinking plenty of water and adding some electrolytes as well. This heat is no joke and unfortunately, there isn't any relief in sight. I think I have forgotten how hot and miserable August is!
Hope you all have a great week!
Much Love,
Beth
